It’s more a play on the other comment in this thread about dogs. I do, personally, prefer dogs to kids, however I wanted to only s/dog/kid/g for the purpose of the joke.

Kids suck. I don’t like them. Glad if you do, please enjoy. But they slobber, shed, smell and are generally mostly a nuisance. They can be fun for brief periods, but they’re way more work and hassle than they’re worth. My brother is thinking of getting a kid and I hope he doesn’t because it would make me reluctant to spend a weekend at his place. I can’t believe the number of people who seriously admit to loving their kids more than their dogs. I can’t believe people consider themselves their kid’s “parent”. I can’t believe how forcefully the online community backlashes to the idea of dogs or judgemental of “ill-mannered” and neurodiverse dogs, yet will happily say “it is never a kid’s” fault, no matter how “bad” the kid is.

That’s a 5.25" floppy. Back when they were actually a bit floppy. Before that there was an 8" floppy.

Next to it is the 3.5" floppy that came much later.

5.25" were square, so maybe you’re referring to the VHS that comes after the 3.5" floppy?

You can definitely tell I didn’t even try to parse the numbers. Since it clearly states the 3yo child in my eyes would have been a 3m tall monster lol

Not saying it isn’t an interesting visual representation but Jesus fucking Christ some consistency in the children height/distance would make for way better comparison.
