Non-local ai server! Just the opposite of what you didn’t want /s but fr. ai horde, idk. Else, some other number cruncher… Not crypto. How about those science distributed calcs? There was one for biology, proteinfold

I liked piefed until I learnt about the hidden filters. But still, I see their point. There are dozens of lefties here! Dozens!!

Edit: thanks rimu for your reply. I was unaware of that post. Piefed is my fav again :) Somehow I was under the impression that piracy comms were banned.

You can protest in any language. Except russian. Unless zombie. Or ghost. Yes, in any language. Just do it (TM?)

Perhaps the phantom itself was the meme by definition of those days, at the dawn of the Internet… (:

I don’t think it was fat. Just some overweight maybe. Anyway, I traced it back: Frankie LaPenna vs. EngineAI T800

Tactile screen was dreamed by TV. Mobiles covered that. On the technical standpoint, arm power consumption and having music, camera, gps, etc. all resonated with online/! digitalization of our selves. So, yes. I concur!

Lol! This is great. I have some friends that “spontaneously” got interested into human-like robots and the other day shared with me a video of a extremely fake MMA fight in Texas that was human vs. robot

Yet, they claimed it looked real. To which I replied the robot has no pain in their programming and even if it had, how are you supposed to win by submission if they can happily lose an arm and continue…

So, this story and the reactions it sowed are brilliant example to me: we need to stop anthropomorphizing technological advances like robots and LLMs!

Start with Silvia federicci

Cool! A browser extension or userscript to send GPX from other platforms into our deployment would be huge!

Of course it’s a meme and yet I want to comment this. Because I disagree with the premise. Your first responsability is to yourself, taking care of your needs. And resting might as well be one of those.

set the server as git remote and push there directly. set hooks to deploy. I do that for a static site. Is my little iac solution. Search for alternatives to “infrastructure as code”. It can go from simple dockerfile to swarms or kubernetes…

Idk, have you tried annas archive? Or fmhy?

As much as I welcome this I can’t help but wonder, why do they care?

Is it because it was the year of the Linux desktop? ;D

Thanks for editorializing the title, [you’re the best]

I liked some proposals. I will certainly use LLM far more, and i/o too. But that’s me, I have a preference toward technical terms that are already established. Finding new ones is a challenge. Specialy since they get permeated by our own biases. Or at least that’s what I felt when reading their proposal to replace ai agent. I believe the agency of that system is there, so why not just llm agent? :/

Wtf. These pigs are slippery, they got support from orban, erdogan, and slovakia. Now France and Luxembourg joined that network?? I don’t understand, so I’ll be looking forward to see how this develops… :/

Edit, to add detail from the note. They’re estimated by Forbes to own 13bn and 16bn each. With corporations and being intertwined with kremlin and russian state assets. So, this is major.

Tiling windows managers? I had a glorious i3 config once, and not long ago installed regolith on the ubuntu machine at work. Soon, on my laptop, I will try Noctalia with either Umbria or Niri.

Github holds plenty of examples to bypass chinese great firewall. I would say you use a vps and set up those proxyies, a while ago it was shadowsocks. Today, idk. Maybe amneziawg. Not sure if you can make the clients work on windows 7, in any case just get a travel router set it up there and use that as the filter to your connection. Break down the problem into pieces. And yes, that router and/ or vps will have Linux (:

I wonder if any major project has had forks because of their inclusion or exclusion of AI.

And I’m unsure if that’s positive or not. Maybe it is because it can accommodate the needs and wants of everyone. But then again there’s division and all this tension. The polarization is too much right now. And it may even grow further, as the AI enticement becomes deeper with cheaper, smarter, whatever may happen… Meanwhile, oligarchs are enjoying their Datacenters and pushing their agenda for surveillance and control or even monopoly of one voice, the voice of AI, that holds “the truth” with examples as whatever you get when asking DeepSeek about Tiannamen square. And chatgpt may have blindspots of their own that we are yet to see.

What I’m trying to say is that the political debate is bigger than what any community can really hold without accepting a certain degree of heterogeneity.

We were always doing it ( stupid memes )
