  • Seems like nuclear power plants leaking would be big news in Europe, we are not living in the Simpsons universe, so I would also like a source on that. I am all up for renewables, but the fear mongering and hate of nuclear energy is not racional, the amount of human deaths caused per TWh of coal is 58 people while nuclear has only killed 0.003 people per the same amount of energy produced, and this isn’t even considering the global warming effects and associated deaths. So yeah renewables are better than nuclear, but nuclear is vaaaaaaaaaaaaaastly better than coal

  • Honestly from someone that has a lot of trouble dealing with the heat I hope people become more aware of how dangerous heat can become. So tired of hearing people complain about the cold like the heat is aways good. I don’t have a heater, in fact I can sleep with the windows open in negative temperatures (celsius) but I NEED an air conditioner in the summer, but people always complain like is some sort of luxury, no is not, I don’t tell people during the winter that heating is a luxury despite the fact that I don’t have any heating

  • I am quite concerned as a south European, the heat every summer becomes more and more unbearable, the official temperatures don’t do it justice, I have seen temperatures above 52° celsius on my car thermometer parked in the shade. We have no protection against this extreme heat, on the cold you can dress warmer, but with the heat there is nothing we can do if you have to work in the street. Migraines all the time, heat rashes all the time, food spoils all the time, wildfires all the time. A constant nightmare

  • Some things are meat to be time consuming and hard. You cannot hurry things like learning or maturity, our current world has convince us that faster is always better, but that is not always the case. I always volunteer for voting counting and despite the fact that it takes from 7am to 10 pm on a Sunday I enjoy doing it, you feel like you are part of the cogs of democracy, doing your part to ensure the democracy works as intended, like you take part In something greater than yourself, you set aside your political filiation and do your part
