minus-squarechaogomu@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up28arrow-down3·4 days agoNot a complete scam, just a buggy mess caused by mismanagement and constant forced rewrites. Roberts micromanages every aspect of the game, but fucks off for months at a time before rejecting whatever work has been submitted to him. So his art teams and devs all have to twiddle their thumbs waiting on him. Roberts also has a habit of firing design teams and hiring on a new team to redo all the work. He also has a feature creep problem. Keeps adding new shit to the requirements. The man has never released a game on time, and the only reason he’s released anything, was a publisher stepping in and taking over. But yes, the ship sales are pure scam.
