Because no other country can be trusted with nuclear weapons. In some ways, this world view makes you realize that North Korea and Iran might have a legit point to continue to develop nukes.

The United States view of nuclear proliferation is that the world can only be safe if only the United States has nuclear weapons.

In some ways, this world view makes you realize that North Korea and Iran might have a legit point to continue to develop nukes.
Like half of nuclear nations got nuclear capability from the USA, so that doesn’t track.
It was even our idea to give the tech to Iran…
