Most progressives see her as something of an opportunistic, establishment puppet. She was chosen to be Biden’s VP, in order to pander to the black / Latino vote, and specifically because she lacked the moral core to oppose the establishment in any meaningful way.
Her presence may be viewed as the DNC either trying to co-opt El-Sayed’s campaign and steer it towards the establishment’s goals…or that it was all astroturf from the beginning, and shouldn’t be trusted.
