Hi guys! Today, I tried to delete my account in Reddit because every time I create a new post, (this post is a PSA for users in the sub to help them mitigate ans issue of a device in Home Assistant) it was immediately deleted/removed by the “Reddit filters”. Every time I try to post it is immediately deleted. So Reddit is not my place anymore. Reddit has banned me totally. I don’t know why because I have not received a warning or any communication from the Reddit management.

So, I tried to delete my account and I get the “Form submission failed”! I can’t even do that!

Edit: I was able to delete from my iPhone app. Goodbye Reddit and the dictatorship in that platform!

    there is a delte option in your settings? if you were shadowbanned, your comments, post will be indefinitely hidden. the only place that allows you to post is the shadowban sub(its to post if you were shadowbanned)

          Same, but they also entirely deleted my account so I couldn’t log in anymore, and deleted all my posts and comments, which I don’t think that always happens

            did someone gain access to your account, how does it disappear? i have heard spammers gianing access to peoples accounts. you can type in your username while not logged into to see if you were shadowbanned, or if your “account” is still making posts?

              Trust me, I checked all that stuff, I was banned and shortly after that the account was completely nuked. I posted a link to something on a domain that might have made them think I was a spammer and was immediately banned after doing so, I am guessing that is why I was banned, my account didn’t get phished.

    Same here. But that was a good five years ago. You’re welcome here… Mostly. But check your mod log because what happens is you might say something wrong and bam some mod bans you from a community but you actually never really know. You just start noticing that you can’t post here or there. Then finally you stumble on the mod log and you go… Holy wakamoly!

    So it’s similar here if you rub someone the wrong way.

      Thanks for the warning! There is no mod log at Reddit so I really don’t know what triggered my being banned!

      BTW where can I look at the mod log?

        Some clients like summit give you the option in various menus.
        On the web ui you can find it as a green button in the sidebar of subs and the entire instance.
        You can search and filter it for various things.
