• 3/2 oz gin
  • 1/2 oz grenadine
  • 1/2 oz lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz aquafaba

Shake with ice, then shake one more time without ice.

The grenadine is homemade, and not bright red, so I guess it is more of a pink-ish lady. But still a great cocktail after dinner!

What’s the flavor profile like on the Citadelle? Any other gins you’d compare it to? I see it a lot at my local and I’ve been trying to decide if it’s worth trying a bottle.

I haven’t tried many gins, but I would say that it tastes more like citrus than Beefeater, and it smells a lot more floral. But the citrus is not as strong as in Roku. It is priced similarly as Beefeater here, and I like Citadelle a lot more in a gin and tonic, so I usually go with it. I should probably work on my gin tasting notes though ^^ I heard that the Citadelle Jardin d’été was really good too, but I have yet to try it

Interesting. I generally like a more spice forward profile in gin, but I’ve found that Malfy, which is very citrus forward, can be absolutely superb in the right drink (it’s the only way to make a good Negroni, for one thing). I think I’ll have to give it a try.
