The shooting happened shortly after 3 a.m. in the city’s Tower District neighborhood.
72-year-old man fired one shot at Gonzalez during the altercation. The injured agent was later placed in handcuffs by an off-duty police officer, who is the boyfriend of the elderly man’s daughter
The elderly man who shot the agent is not facing charges, and was also being evaluated for his injuries.Damn, the cop wanted the ICE alive huh.
Should have not missed. If the cop didn’t have a direct connection to the victim, the old man would’ve been the one arrested
I remember a pretty long video on !thepoliceproblem@lemmy.world where an ice agent was stopped for erratic driving and, clearly drunk, tried to talk his way out of it, like “hey man, I’m ICE, we’re on the same side, I just got divorced, don’t fuck me like this!”, later more threatening. I think his kid was even in the back. It went on for ages. Truly something to behold. It contained everything you need to know about what sort of people get hired by ICE.
ICE has been stepping up their raids in Fresno lately too.
stepping up in the blue strongholds, while MSMs are not reporting it at all.
