The first is a limited back catalog. For me personally, it’s not important, I’m looking at he exclusives and the originals. For some however they need a reason to stick around and browse. Shows like “The Office” for example keep people paying for whatever service it’s on because users always come back to it. Cheap alternatives like reality TV also works for some people.
The second is the Apple brand exclusivity. The brand launched hard as an Apple only service. Apple has removed most of their barriers nowadays, but I would bet many don’t even realize they can probably watch Apple TV without owning any Apple devices.
