GIMP already does more and you can change the shortcuts to match Photoshop so you don’t even have to learn anything new.

I spent days trying to do that, it’s not actually possible. Don’t ask me details, I don’t remember them. There were multiple things that didn’t work the same and nothing I did would change that.
