Its time to roll up the sleeves not celebrate. Now we have to kick the dems in the asshole until they hold everyone accountable. Everyone needs to be attached to the ass of their representatives. Follow them home if you have to.
Edit: also if that doesnt work its time for every anarchists favorite cocktail.
FWIW I think it’s time for both. We just did something historic as a voting populace and we can and should absolutely celebrate that. It’s the day after elections and we can afford to take a break and have some joy and hope. If we forget why we roll up our sleeves we risk burning out before we finish.
Yeah but I know us and we’ll let all the steam out right now and pat ourselves on the back. We can’t do that.
Sure, but not all of us. We all need strength to work. We have to invest in strength somehow or we can’t work. Today is a fine day to build some mental strength.
Were you watching Grandma’s Boy through a screen door?
For those who don’t get the joke, the DNC now have more senators than they have in 15 years.
They break it if they get to 60. We need to get them to over 60.
None of this “controlled opposition” nonsense matters if DNC reaches 60, it will be the ultimate calling of America’s bluff, either they will pass sweeping progressive reforms the likes of which we have never seen or they won’t and the voters will become disillusioned with the sham.
Buh? You need 2/3 vote in both the House of Representatives and the Senate to override presidential veto.
I’m assuming when we get 60 DNC that a Republican will not be president. The 2026 election is for the most part already over.
So in a discussion about the big news of today, you are discussing… something that is decidedly not the news of today. Worse yet, in a manner that everyone expects is about the big news of today.
*Actually rereading, it’s even worse. You are mixing and matching news of today with a completely different timeframe without telling anyone.
MEME: DNC: “Did I break it?”
They break it if they get to 60. We need to get them to over 60.
Around here is where we entered the hypothetical. Generally how an “IF” statement works. I think you’re silly to think we were going to get 60 when the election was yesterday and none of the polls predicted that.
