According to his account, the show has undergone significant turnover, including the departure of the showrunner Michael Jonathan Smith, writing staff, and several department heads. He expressed disappointment not only for his own exit but also for the loss of his collaborators whom he praised.

Despite the setback, Mitchell avoided direct criticism of the production, instead highlighting his pride in the work completed so far and appreciation for his co-stars, including Samoa Joe, who portrays Sweet Tooth. He noted that he had hoped to continue exploring that on-screen relationship in future episodes.
