Social network Reddit recently began blocking mobile visitors to its website while pushing them to download the official Reddit app, and it's fair to say that the move is not going down well with users. If you visit reddit.com on your iPhone today, you may see a new popup that can't be dismissed, asking you to "get the app to keep using Reddit".

    I don’t blame you. I’m not quite at that point yet, but I’m not far off.

    If they kill or nerf Old Reddit I’ll probably be done.

      Understandable. It’s a big step to take.

      It’s liberating though. Like a recovering alcoholic able to say they are sober without relapsing. 😄

        I don’t have a problem! I can stop whenever I want! :P

        Thing is- I don’t use reddit for ‘scrolling’, mainly for participation in various discussions. That makes it a lot harder to replace…

          Same as you 🖐️, also participated in a lot of discussions. I loved it, it was so much fun. I miss that aspect, because a lot of my interests aren’t represented well here in the fediverse. Alas…
