I’d recommend avoiding Hyprland and the other projects by that dev. Incredibly toxic and transphobic.
Granted, it’s open source so you’re not exactly financially supporting them, so it’s more a question of platforming and justifying the sponsorships they get from third parties.

He has built a platform using OSS, sure, but he uses that platform to spread hate.
Tolerating bigotry marginalizes the victims and validates the perpetrators. You’re effectively advocating we collectively turn a blind eye to the damage he’s doing because he gives his software away for free in exchange for that platform and sponsorships.
