This is the sort of striving, adolescent bullshit I would expect from a child, not from a grown man.

makes sense if you know the context. this is from the sketch comedy series The Mitchell and Webb Look, which was aired on BBC Two at the time, and later with higher quality on BBC HD… anyway the man pictured is David Mitchell and his mouth is the organ he most often uses to talk.

While Webb, by contrast, presumably talks more often out of his ass? Or was there some other organ which you were implying was from whence the subtitles should be flowing?

nah I just tried a bait and switch. thought it would be funny to start the comment with info about the show like it was going to be something about the show or something, then end it with the most obvious “yeah so the subtitles come out of his mouth because that’s where he speaks from” which makes the entire first half also irrelevant and stupid.

i say “i thought it would be funny” like it didn’t turn out to be so but i still think it’s hilarious; kinda proud of the comment to be honest.

Decades from now, after their parents pass, kids will be sorting through the parents stuff and find one of these or some other trump crap. They will react the same way my generation did when sorting through our parents stuff and finding nazi shit. “Oh God I hope they weren’t really into this shit!” My dad had a medal of some sort with a swastika on it. It was probably something his father collected in the war. It went into the garbage where it belonged. Garbage dumps of the future will be filled with trump shit.

I think I’m gonna need more proof on this one. Not just one guy that works in an office who attached an image in an email.

It’s kinda got all the classic markers. Superbly outlandish yet just believable enough. Confirms everyone’s preexisting beliefs.

Buddy fucked up lil “challenge coin” trinkets have been a depressingly common part of military/law enforcement since forever, the burden of proof here is light as a feather. There are galleries of em ranging from relatively banal tough guy “devil dog” marines stuff with their absolutely ripped fursona to unquotable “n-word lynchers” shit with nooses etc from southern police/sheriff departments. This is a weird one to call out

Here’s a ww2, Vietnam, and modern interpretation to get you started. I wanted to include the original, but turns out he’s just a regular dog lol

Fuckin’ Gravy Seals… Mofos think that anyone nonwhite is a potential “terrorist” with more guns in their house than the Taliban, and they’re chomping at the bit to be let loose and go raid with all guns blazing then drop death ace cards on the corpses and call it a beer day.

There do exist Etsy shops churning out MAGAt merch, and won’t be surprised those coins are also being sold as custom made.

Another thing I hate about gen images other than how they look, is that unlike with art there’s no indicator that someone sat down and sweat over this image. This could have been something they shit out over three prompts in between meetings.

And yet they’re responsible for bringing into the world one of the most hideous images I’ve seen. They didn’t even need to sit over it and think about it.

This has the same credibility as opening a battle pack in Battlefield 6 and getting a new picture for your player profile background.

You know I often wonder if the Fascists from the world war era crinnge. When it came to fashion and memorialbia theirs at least could look frightening.

Yet shit like this is just horrible even in a “yeah we might be the baddies.” Way

I’ve been calling it symbolic degeneration in my head. While the fascists of the 20s, 30s, and 40s generally had a tendency to disrespecting and abusing symbolism for political gain these people barely know what symbolism is. They know that certain imagery and symbols have meaning but are too stupid and gaudy to really understand it, they treat it like a child learning poetry, they know certain words have imagery and ideas attached but have no clue how any of it works in theory so they just photo copy it until it loses all coherence.

I invoke certain bits of imagery on purpose with subtle differences from the real thing for shits and giggles to fuck with people so this is something I keyed into awhile back.
