    the bear example is really bad because they were undermining a prophets authority on holy ground.

    also, before the crucifixion, sin had a PRICE. it is shown to us what the price is.

      Is the lesson not

      “Don’t be mean to god’s prophets or he’ll send a bear to maul you”

      Because that’s pretty wrathful. Quite “you should fear me” messaging, ya know? Not really the cosmic love Jesus is trying to convince us of.
