1st of all, talking generically about Europeans shows a deep, carpet-drooling level of ignorance: “Europeans” don’t exist, there is literally no one in Europe who identifies as European. There are Spanish people, that are culturally different from French people, that are culturally different from Germans, from Italians and so on… Europe is nothing but a trading pact this countries made after WW2 to avoid being swallowed by either Russia or the US, so whenever you get mad at “YUROP” you’re getting mad at a bunch of capitalists trying to stay afloat in a sinking world.
2nd everyone in this decrepit old continent knows very well that, whether you’re facing East or West, you’re getting fucked full time by an endless army of brainwashed poor people that fight for the interests of a handful of oligarch maniacs, so to avoid conflict they kneel down to suck dicks both ways, whether they taste like caviar (e.g. being dependent on russian natural gas) or burger (e.g. embracing tariffs without fighting back).
Now, I personally feel good about living in a European country that identifies the US as the biggest threat to the World, I do as well, but I also know that on the other side of the fence there is yet another mad man with the finger on the red button, so I don’t blame anyone who’s more afraid of that because they live closer to him.
