You see genius. I see hundreds or thousands of normal people adding a little bit each over a long period of time.

The pyramids weren’t built by a giant, but by the work of many many normal folks. This is the same.

See my other comment, but naturally evolving writing systems arose from drawing pictures over millennia; noone just started writing letters.
