    Sounds like the world shouldn’t be so dependent on a single region for so many important things. Especially when there are other places to source this stuff from.

      Bring reliant on “fertilizer” made of petroleum by products and mined material is also a bad idea, no matter what the source.

        Western monocrop agriculture is so incredibly inefficient, destructive, and wasteful, but it spread through colonialism and now almost every other nation farms the exact same way.

          Yep and it’s not sustainable. Heavy metals are building soils, co2 and n2o are created in the refining of gas to ammonia and globally that is like 6 percent of emissions. Dead zones from run off are happening in the waterways.

          This has to stop.
