Federal agents around the country were told in recent days that the F.B.I. would no longer investigate confrontations with immigration agents — cases that sometimes yield evidence that could be used to prosecute Department of Homeland Security agents implicated in violent encounters, according to people briefed on the decision.
If enacted, such a change would sharply limit law enforcement scrutiny of immigration agents, as the Trump administration draws mounting criticism over killings at the hands of federal officers. In the last two weeks, two fatal shootings by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Texas and Maine have thrust the government’s tactics back into the spotlight

So, the States will be given full access to do their own investigation, yes?
That’s probably the intended purpose: make the what was once an impartial investigation into a red state v blue state wiffle ball.
I wish the country was that progressive. But they’ll probably just continue to deny States access to all the evidence, so they can’t do any proper investigation at all.
Can’t. It’s all public unless there’s an active investigation.
Minnesota has been demanding the evidence, and AFAIK they’re still refusing to give it to them
ICE was quick to gather up all the evidence and hide it before the State had a chance to get access to the scene
So it’s up to us then, right?
Time to skip investigations
It seems like they’re trying to make peaceful revolution impossible.

That’s thrice I’ve seen this comment, so this shit stops right here:
“Jury” contains only one R, dammit.

Srsly though: keep typing on my phone that uses autocorrect to learned words. I’ll have to figure out how to fix it. Thanks for pointing it out though.
*Edit: fixed
