But my point in this thread is against those saying not to vote blue in the general election. I’ve tried to make it clear that we should also change the system - whether by running for office, civil war, whatever. Not all options are equal.
But again, I’m just arguing against the people defending not voting for the non-fascist in the general election. Because people are supporting that.
And wouldn’t it be nice to just… stop. Just for a bit to exist in a place where the world isn’t ending and it’s all your fault?
Where you have agency in the world and aren’t ruled by a bunch of idiots?
Where you aren’t killing children and starving children and poisoning the planet?
Where you don’t feel like the best solution is to just kill as many of these assholes as possible because that’s honestly the best thing you can do for the climate?
I meant in regard to the big text.

I can empathize with non voters without encouraging it.
I wish I could ignore it all. I hate politics and that I need to be aware of it. It’s a stupid game with dumb rules I can never win or even quit.
I honestly can’t blame them.
I can’t empathize when they are part of the problem.
I can empathize with their frustration. I share it.

Wouldn’t that be lovely?
I’d love to get my leg back and to not have had six heart attacks and to not be on dialysis for kidney failure, but that’s just not an option.
Sure, it’d be nice - that would be an understatement.
But if you don’t take things how they are - if I lived like my kidneys still worked, I’d be dead in a month or two, tops.
What a stupid world.
On this we agree.
And yet when I ask “why bother saving such a stupid world?” people look at me like I’ve got two heads.
Well, while again I think you have a point there, my answer is “Because it’s the only one we have”. And life is bettern than being dead. :)
