I really don’t like how even these videos are helping to shift the Overton Window.
Who cares if she was crazy hard working or not. Who cares if she had children in her care. Who even cares if she was kind or not? None of this is remotely relevant to the fact that a non democratic regime is abducting people in the streets for random and or racist or political reasons.
It’s the stuff that Donald used to say, only happens in shithole countries.
I’m hoping the sheer number of these videos and stories shows that Overton window movement among other things.
They were hard working, illegal, going to immigration court appointment, us citizen, applied for asylum, died in detention, refused medical attention, deported against court orders, misidentified, an award winning teacher, a Trump voter’s fiancé, murdered in the street…
At the end of the day, I hope we can come to the same conclusion.
