I assume you’re talking about heart alcohol, because beer and wine are sold inconvenience stores and everywhere else.

I imagined that “U.S. booze” here is mostly whiskey etc., but I guess it must also include Californian wine, which can indeed be sold in grocery stores.
People don’t drink people, alcohol drinks people.
Canada should throw them this bone and use it effectively. I suspect that even if the american booze is restocked on Canadian shelves, it won’t move very fast, if at all.
I want a bigger article on American dairy restrictions. Having been there, what passes for cheese is crap. I don’t want that sold here. If they’re willing to meet our standards, that’s a different matter. I doubt they will or even can.
I wish Americans’ intervention into Canadian separatist movements wasn’t so incredibly problematic because I’d love to leave a “you go girl” for Quebec for telling Ottawa to get stuffed.
