That makes sense. The dawn of the golden era of digital typefaces. Either way I’m not a Comic Sans hater, I’m glad we can still find it in so many devices/mediums.

I’m outside the US. I brought several broken Pixels Pros & fixed them with Chinese parts. I run GrapheneOS on all of them. None of my money went to Google. I even sold one with GrapheneOS still installed & the buyer understood what that meant.
You don’t need to trust ungoogled phones, you just need to trust the forensic analysis, cyber security reports & new patches that point towards a cryptographically safe environment.
I hate Google as much as any of you Lemmies but there are ways. Plenty.
Ah y antes de que digan mamadas de privilegio y así… gano en axolopezones y estoy a la mitad entre bajos ingresos y pobreza 🫠

In short, yes.
That’s it that’s the whole answer honestly. As with anything Linux there is a ton of progress being done by very few people & your milage may vary.
Read the wikis, watch the hands-on videos & you’ll get an idea if it’s ready enough for you. But, imho, it’s a good project & totally worth it for me as it is.

Typeface, not font. Also, one of the better ones for dislexia is a stretch given there’s actually no hard proven data, it’s all anecdotal & preference based. It’s not HORRIBLE but there are plenty of ones that lots of studies focus on that have marginal potential.
We have 2 approaches: 1 being good lettering + how much families enable good reading and 2 being the cognitive processing of information via text. Comic Sans falls very mid on both but that’s not necessarily bad either.
If we want to talk dislexia alone, OpenDyslexic followed by the still growing Atkinson Hyperlegible even as a serif, COULD be marginally be the better ones.
Comic Sans has one big advantage, it’s ubiquitous. That means that dyslexics have more chances to see the appeal of it in comparison with blocky monolithic Serif typefaces.
Dyslexie is the actual one that opened Pandora’s box regarding dyslexia assisting typefaces but that’s a rabbit hole for another time. It’s fascinating & forever changing.

Me with anything LTT

Forever at your disservice.

NO PWEASE DON’T BRING UP THE WAR CRIMES I HAVE NO TRUE MORAL GROUND TO ARGUE AGAINST IT PWEASE.

True, I did not mean my comment as a real conversion tho.
Now, speaking of megameters 😈 I’m pretty sure you can tell me which prefix corresponds to this from the top of your head. One of my favorite ones ever alongside its negative.
n-meter = 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 megameters.

One big cube for ice in my study room for me please.

0.01 Petameters

Linus has decided what Linux is & isn’t since forever. It has his fucking name on it for a reason. Linus decided Linux means AI code so Linux has AI code now. No way around it. We can only pick up until a specific version of the kernel when no LLM was used but after that, all future Linux Kernels will forever have LLM code in them.
No distro is going to stop using new kernels, everyone downstream is essentially powerless on this decision. The Linux Foundation is HUGE compared to 90% of the distro’s workforce (volunteers). Only IBM & Canonical surpass it & they are NOT going to maintain the next Linux fork for the next 30 years.
Linux means AI code now and for the foreseeable future. To my demise.

It is but it also means they are actually doing stuff for their users, I want to see et grow into something more thorough in the future, for now it’s progress.

Love me more EU tech independence alternatives. Been using them for a month when I first read the rumors that led to the 404 article.

Given Mozilla’s AI stance I can’t see it as an improvement. I never want to side with NOT-Mozilla but the way they handled the Firefox AI stuff was messy at the bare minimum.
As a direct Proton Mail replacement I’m migrating to tuta.com. Which funnily enough just got a Thunderbird add-on recently.
Not really.
It’s actually the English “Caesar”. The founders of the OG bar & recipe were Italian but Tijuana has always been a bilingual town, so instead of the Italian Cesare or the Spanish César the official name is literally just the English version.
Now, the Latin <ˈkae̯sar> is absolutely the origin of the Italian Cesare with such a well documented evolution that for our purposes it is the same name but with a modernized pronunciation. In Italy (& Mexico’s César) the name made a huge comeback in the XX century but we cannot deny that is Julius (and their tyrannical parasocial followers) who made his cogname as famous as it is.
But that’s not here or there.
