Yep. We had one break (the plastic tab that locks it is so thin and brittle), and used a normal trash cash after that for a while and the diaper smell was much more noticeable. Both were “buy nothing” finds. The second one is still going strong (I wrapped duct tape around the plastic tab which may have helped).
I like to joke that they make the most disgusting sausages in the world.
My family mostly boycotted Amazon after their pullback from diversity initiatives, amongst other things (anti-union behavior). We spend 80% less than we used to. The drop is probably even bigger than that because we had a kid just before we started boycotting and so our spending increased significantly. We will buy from Amazon if we have no other options, but 80% of the time there are plenty of other options and often they are cheaper.
Amazon has Toddleroo products, but you can also buy them direct from the manufacturer at northstatesind.com and with the WELCOME10 coupon code it’s actually cheaper than Amazon, and you can use it more than once.
We also switched to shopping a ton more from Costco. Some products automatically get free shipping, like diaper genie refills. Costco didn’t back down from diversity initiatives so I basically said Take My Money (we already were avid Costco Warehouse shoppers).
The biggest challenge is shipping costs. I either have to order enough to meet the manufacturer’s minimum to get free shipping, or eat the shipping cost. That being said, Prime is like $180 a year? Even if I pay for shipping I think I am still saving money.
I loved this game so much that I played through the entire game, recording the entire play through on a VHS tape, so I could pop the tape in and watch it any time I wanted.
I also recreated the end scene with the princesses using Mario Paint, including the music.
I think there is a key part you are missing here, and that is not only they find it disgusting, but they are afraid they just might, could, maybe be interested or enjoy that “abnormal human behavior”. They’re afraid that the phone call is coming from inside the house.
I think that’s the difference between people who think it’s icky but don’t think it needs to be stopped (like gay men who find sex with women icky/unnatural), and people who not only think its icky but also want to wipe it and everyone who engages in it off the face of the earth.

It’s not just to be an ally either, it’s because these hateful laws will inevitably be twisted to target YOU too. Look at the story of the dad who took his two girls into the women’s bathroom and had the bathroom gender police call the real police on him. Cisgender people are not safe from these laws either. Once queer people are gone they’ll look for the next group and it’ll be amongst cisgender people and they’ll use the anti-LGBTQ laws to do so.

It ignores the fact that the premise of the Iraq war was completely built on lies. There were no “Weapons of Mass Destruction” as Republicans claimed. A lot of people enlisted thinking they were protecting the US from a danger threatening the existence of the entire country, which ended up not being true.

The part being unsaid here is “that Daniel’s private donation to a political party is NOT INCOMPATIBLE WITH Mullvad’s values or mission” (pardon the double negative)
That’s what I have issue with. They’re saying Daniel’s own personal purpose/mission (the donation being an expression of that) is compatible with their mission, or at minimum does not conflict.
What does “freedom of speech” have to do with expression of Mullvad employees? Mullvad isn’t a government. Free speech doesn’t mean freedom from consequences. If Daniel’s own personal mission/purpose is incompatible with Mullvad’s, severing their relationship with him would be appropriate and not a violation of his freedom of speech. Of course, this goes back to, it’s not incompatible.
The “tolerance” bit, Daniel’s own personal mission/purpose as expressed by his donation is inherently inhumanely intolerant. Again, Mullvad is indirectly stating that intolerance is not incompatible with their mission/purpose, which makes the “tolerance” bit a contradiction. They might as well have people working for them that believe you have zero right to privacy.
