If he just wanted to be remembered he wouldn’t get so upset about people saying bad things about him.
He would hate people celebrating his death with the collective expression of joy it deserves.
41·12 hours agoAny such article is a lie, those assholes knew exactly what they were doing. Most of the fascist majority on the court are active participants in the coup that brought this regime to power, the rest are sympathizers.
I live in portland so I imagine the bars here will have drink specials, parks will be filled with celebrating stoners, etc.
Probably we’ll walk to the nearest clump of bars and join the celebration.
We definitely didn’t, the rich did.
Our system was never designed to represent the wishes of the people. And it doesn’t.
The apathy of many us citizens to the idea that their government could possibly matter to them is a direct result of a massive legal, and influence campaign by far right elites, their representatives in government and their allies overseas. A functional state is supposed to have institutions to combat that.
The effectiveness of the current far right coup is a failure of our institutions, and the low participation of many in the US is a symptom of that failure, not a cause.

We’re not even a democracy, there’s literally no way he could represent anyone but the rich.

The world has never trusted the US. Because of all that stuff we do to it.
Europe trusted the US, from around the mid 40s until the bush regime. That’s the so called “american century”, from the US entering ww2 until “WMDs in iraq” - about 60 years.

It was incredible, as that play always is. The male lead outperformed the female lead, which i feel is less common than vice versa, but everyone was great.
