It is true. Math.min() returns positive Infinity when called with no arguments and Math.max() returns Negative Infinity when called with no arguments. Positive Infinity > Negative Infinity.

Math.min() works something like this

def min(numbers):
  r = Infinity
  for n in numbers:
    if n < r:
      r = n
  return r

I’m guessing there’s a reason they wanted min() to be able to be called without any arguments but I’m sure it isn’t a good one.

I’ve never heard of Nostr but Mastodon is a twitter clone and I don’t find that style of website suits discussion well since you subscribe to accounts rather than communities.

Former mortician here. These aren’t used everywhere or all the time. If your family requests your body be embalmed, all the liquids and semi-solids of your insides will be sucked out of your guts using a hollow spear hooked up to a vacuum. If done right, there should be no liquid left in your body to leak out.

So the article explains that official tournaments use a unique words list that contains a lot of generous words like “zzz” and “aa”. Mostly intended to allow high scoring words for people who studied their list.

The company that maintains the list has added a lot more of these “not a real word but it scores high so we added it” words.

Players are complaining that high level tournaments are basically going to be competitions for who knows the most gibberish from the tournament word list and it is alienating the general population from joining tournaments and scrabble clubs.

There are thousands of sci-fi novels where sentient robots are treated terribly by humans and apparently the people at Boston Dynamics have read absolutely zero of them as they spend all day finding new ways to torment their creations.

This is the biggest issue right here. Houses weren’t always investments and making them investments was a terrible idea that’s now difficult to fix.

Real estate has become a huge part of stock market and GDP figures. People’s retirement funds have become other people’s mortgage and rent payments. Affordable houses for some would mean economic decline for others, and no political party wants to create economic decline.
