I don’t know how relevant it will be, but this was from Bondtech when they announced the founders kit.

There was discussion about this on “the other site*” when the founder’s kits were released. The basic answer ended up being something like “since the nozzles heads are dumb, you’re still getting the same amount of smart (more expensive) components so there isn’t a lot of cost to save”.

That’s my thought too. The Vision Pro is more Newton than anything it’s compared to today. I’m sure that there will be echoes of it in some piece of tech in the next 10-15 years, but it’s not the right device for the right time right now for most people.
