10·6 days agoIn Snapmaker OrcaSlicer you can have the Full Spectrum slicer. Doesn’t allow you to import a picture yet, but I have been experimenting with it, and if you get translucent (mostly cheap or fast PLA) filament. It merges verry well

If you have expensive colours that are not translucent and have a stronger colour (black and white in my example) they don’t merge as wel
(Example printed on a Snapmaker without any waste. I do not have green)

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•Auto start programs being added to OS'es was probably the first indication our attention span wasn't going to survive computers and the internet
9·7 days agoHaving some information screen computers start on there own after power on is a nice feature. Why Windows ended up implementing it in like 4 different ways is beyond me. And why it’s a default for each app is probably to gather your information and track you. It’s always best to turn it off, this will free up the resources of the apps you do want to use. And like you said it ain’t ad much work
What’s wrong with executing the parrent?

My favourite argument is that; The amount of people buying ice creams and the amount of people drowning also looks like curves that follow each other. But less ices creams will not make less people drown. They both go up because of good weather conditions. They do not influence each other.
