DoorDash and UberEats. I see my friends doing it and look at the price on their orders and every time I’m like “This could have been a pickup order. We could have just gone through the drive-thru. Y’all are literally lighting money on fire.”

My number one is Major Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell. It’s been my favorite anime for a long time since watching SAC as a teenager and I want to be her. I also feel like a machine alienated from humanity while still wanting to be human on some level.

That said, give me any good autistic or trans rep.

Maomao from Apothecary Diaries has been a recent strong relate. She has a keen hyperfixation on her specific interests which include an interest in sexuality in an academic sense, which fits my kinky demi-ace sensibilities like a glove.

Entrapta from She-Ra and the Princesses of Power can be friends with literally anyone who shares her interests and sees the good in everyone, which unfortunately tracks with my unawareness of red flags in other people.

Rumi from Kpop Demon Hunters knocks it out of the park as a trans allegory and Golden is my new personal anthem.

Well, Titan is both right next to Saturn, so the view would be amazing, and also possibly the orbital body in our Solar System that would be most hospitable to humans and easiest to terraform! It just seems the natural place to go for an intrasolar vacation!

Pluto would be my second choice because I’m still mad (accepting, but still salty) that it got downgraded to Dwarf Planet and I (irrationally) want to give it more legitimacy. It’s also one of the prominent places in the solar system where I could reasonably claim to be as far away from other humans as possible, which is a very appealing prospect to me.

I didn’t list any exoplanets for an interstellar vacation because I don’t know any off the top of my head that are suspected to be Earth-like.

Unless you meant on Earth, in which case I’d take a vacation through all of Japan, particularly Okinawa. I was born in Naha, Okinawa and I want to go back and see it someday.

Want to visit my family in Washington so I can see my niece and nephew in-person. It’s been a couple years since I’ve had a chance.

My Mom was in a really bad place while I was growing up and failed me and my siblings in a lot of ways that it took many years to correct, but she has since gone to therapy and has managed to get her life back together.

In my early twenties I didn’t want anything to do with her, but we’ve mended things between us and we’re a lot closer now. She’s come around to being incredibly supportive and a great Mom. I love her.

Get Taco Bell and then put on a comfort show. Futurama, Scrubs, ans DragonBall Z Abridged are my classic choices, but watching old seasons of Game Changer has been a recent addition.

Very. I need to have a nice hotel with a clean and comfortable bed that I can retreat to. I’m autistic so I need a safe and comfortable space where I can recharge after an overwhelming and overstimulating day. A hotel isn’t home, and it’s no replacement for the familiarity of my own bed, but having the best possible room to myself where I can be comfortable to do my calming rituals is extremely important to make sure I don’t crash out in the middle of my own vacation.

Bear in mind that that first burst of activity could be a false start from the undesirable bacteria that was present at the start. When I started my starter a few months ago I had what looked like activity for the first two days, and then it settled down. It took about three weeks before the starter grew strong enough to show consistent activity.

Neon colors are too bright and hurt my eyes. Pastel all the way, and especially the pastel goth aesthetic.

Do you have a pet?

Hard to say without specifying the genre. I don’t like most non-fiction, but I have found the occasional treasure. Most recently I reread Surely You Must Be Joking, Mr. Feynman, and that book is fantastic. Read it back in high school and it was a pleasure to revisit.

Do you have a favorite scientist?

There is no recipe yet. I threw it together on vibes and made two major mistakes that I’ll need to find a fix for before I can call it a recipe. Still came out really good, but I’m not satisfied that it’s a working recipe yet.

Last Saturday I prepared a birthday dinner for my little sister.

She specifically requested my Spicy Chicken Egg Fried Rice for dinner as well as a “Sopapilla Cheesecake” for dessert.

I did not know what “Sopapilla Cheesecake” is, so naturally I searched for a recipe and was disappointed to find only recipes for “Sopapilla Cheesecake Bars”.

I double checked with her, and she did clarify that she wanted the bars, but her request had already started the bug in my brain buzzing about what a proper Sopapilla Cheesecake would entail.

I made both for her.

I did a batch of the Sopapilla Cheesecake Bars per a good recipe I found, and then I pulled my own cheesecake recipe out and crammed the two together to make a proper Sopapilla Cheesecake just as I’d imagined it before I started searching. I also added a cinnamon honey ribbon through the cake because my best memories of eating Sopapillas as a child include drizzling honey over them before devouring.

It’s the best Cheesecake I ever made.
