I found another translation from R.J. Hollingdale.
We often contradict an opinion for no other reason than that we do not like the tone in which it expressed.
Edit: I found it! It’s Kaufmann’s Portable Nietzsche Page 58 Aphorism 303.
Additional edit: It’s not word for word.
Nietzsche wrote, “We often refuse to accept an idea merely because the way in which it has been expressed is unsympathetic to us.” - Human, All Too Human

4·29 days agoI’ve always understood Marx as a historian who used the perspective of resources as the lens to view history. I don’t think he was going out of his way to figure out how to get the working class to rise up.
I’ve been always a bit partial towards Herbert Marcuse, someone who I regard as part of the Marxist thought. I think his book One-Dimensional Man was a interesting read as an explanation to our modern technologically advanced society.
Always Dean-lightful to see a fellow Human Being.
