The Dumbphone 2 listed is a TCL Flip 2 which runs modified AOSP. Functionally, the Flip 2 is a dumbphone, though if you’re willing to put in the elbow grease you can install apps through adb and install a cursor to use them. The screen resolution and modified OS make many apps unusable though, but I was able to get Firefox, Jerboa, and Molly (Signal) working on mine. It was definitely better to tether to a tablet or laptop as you said.

I think the Sunbeam phones, Keyphone, and Light phone are AOSP as well, with varying openness.

A lot of manufacturers just use gutted AOSP so they don’t have to write network, UI, notification, etc. stacks from scratch. If not Android it’s usually Mocor or KaiOS

When I moved from the Midwest to Washington state I remember looking at the mountains from the parking lit at work and being in awe. My coworker who grew up there was just like “I guess I’m just used to it, I forget that they’re there.”

I think people can used to a lot. Even in my current city I’ve gotten used to the skyscrapers and have to remind myself to appreciate them occasionally. For reference my hometown doesn’t have a building taller than 3 stories.

Back when my dreams were more vivid, yes I regularly dreamed of my body matching my gender. I remember waking up as a young kid and being depressed when I realized that it was a dream. So before, during, and this far (15+ years) into my transition I would say yes. My dreams nowadays are way more nebulous than they used to be, but I do occasionally have dreams where I feel more in line with my body, I don’t remember specifics though just that I feel far more at peace with it.
