Nordic countries are buying a ton of EVs and installing a ton of renewables.

The writing is on the wall for oil, has been for decades.

Birds of a feather…

… because it’s based in reality.

tf is actually wrong with Republicans? Obsessed with the weirdest stuff, into hurting others and suffering, it’s basically the worst possible people you could elect to run a government.

What does John Barron think?

I am not. I offered some ways I think individuals could act and have an impact.

I don’t live in the jurisdiction this will be tried. I know where I think the odds lie in the US.

You sure seem hell-bent on making someone who agrees with you feel bad. 🤷‍♂️

What are the odds? I don’t know them.

I would advocate for a boycott and helping people migrate off Google.

If you’re on Android, consider:

https://grapheneos.org/

or

https://e.foundation/e-os/

If you’re using Google’s services, consider trying to run some of your own:

Syncthing Nextcloud Comaps

If you’re using their AI, consider trying out local models using something like Unsloth or llama.cpp

If we can’t get our elected representatives to help us, gotta help ourselves.

I chose the lowest consumption rate I could find. Even at that rate, they’re sending 20% of one day with this first shipment. And as far as I know, the total amounts agreed upon would only cover a day or two.

This is honestly deeply embarrassing Trump weakness to anyone but his MAGA acolytes.

The US uses, typically, over 200,000 tons of diesel every day - to give everyone an idea of what Trump sells our allies out for.

… he did, didn’t he?

Capitalism fucks up human brains or something because you’re 100% correct and every normal engineer would agree with you. 🤷‍♂️

☝️🤝

Enough with the “5d chess” bullshit. It’s not. They are literally this fucking dumb and it’s ok and correct to be angry they’re destroying the country.

Friend!

It’s been a long road, getting from there to here.

It’s glorious, isn’t it?

Cheat detection belongs on the server, not using up your CPU cycles and power and exposing you to serious security risks for the vast majority who don’t cheat.

I do. I was there when we hosted everything internally and everyone moved to the cloud for “reliability”.

Oh how the turntables…

If anyone is interested in heading back toward hosting your own infra, lmk and I may come back to tech.
