These resolutions are designed to make some countries look bad. Somewhere in the small print there’s a point unacceptable for the US and Israel, so they vote against and newspapers world-wide can report on how US and Israel alone blocked the end of famine.

It’s not like there’s an abundance of EU focused titles. They often have good and pertinent articles, just judge by article.

Outright banning one of the most influential sites in the EU bubble is just making this corner of the internet even more blind sighted by extreme left orthodoxy instead of being a corner of healthy and interesting debate.

So how are we suppose to be more autonomous from the US if a deal with Brazil-Argentina (Mercosur sounds too abstract, part of the reason why it’s so easy to be against it and to shout “stop Mercosur”) can’t pass without greens, far left and far right sabotaging it?

Brazil and Argentina are exactly the kind of countries we should making deals with. They have stuff we need, similar culture, mid-powers… It’s the kind of country we should be best buddies with.
