He used his money very charitable, by building Opera houses and paying other millionaires for running behind a ball. The politicians and newspapers in his home town couldn’t stop talking about how generous he was. Up to a point where I had a taste of puke in my mouth, from listening to them.

God forbid this money would have been spent on something for the filthy poor people, like musical instruments for elementary schools, or new changing rooms for a small village sports club. That’s why you don’t want to pay taxes.

Actually, only a third of that is fish.

Also, there are a lot more dishes if you don’t like fish, I just presented a small selection.

You may or may not like Labskaus. Some people just don’t know what is good, and that is fine. But saying that northern German cuisine has nothing to offer is a blatant lie.

No, it’s quite different. We have a dish that is a little bit like haggis in Germany as well: Pinkel is a savoury sausage with cereal. It’s eaten in the winter, together with cooked kale, mainly in and around Bremen.

According to Wikipedia, Labskaus is known as (Lob)scouse in the Liverpool area, but the picture in the Scouse article looks like a completely different dish, than what you’d find in Germany.

We already have that, at least here in Hamburg it’s called Park+Ride. Parking spots next to many suburban Metro stations, the ticket costs 2€ per day or 100€ per year if combined with a monthly subscription for the train.

That doesn’t prevent Hamburg from being clogged up every day though. The two reasons I think it’s not used by all those people that prefer standing in the traffic instead are “stupid” and “people”. The latter are good at being the former 😉
