What distro did you use? Don’t tell me you used Arch Linux… That’s not beginner friendly at all.
I’d advise you to use Mint or Ubuntu (preferably the first). When I have NVidia drivers I usually used one that is install through “additional drivers” app, because those are the ones which were tested for your distro. But if you have a really new GPU, there might be an issue because devs weren’t able to update the drivers and test them.
I love these pseudo intelectual arguments that try to explain human behavior. It’s a fact that there are biological differences between men and women, that is obvious. But people love to pull sophisticated pseudo scientific arguments that rest in very weak premises, which often ignore the many other factors (for example social and political) that also influence the outcome this argument is trying to explain.
So, this women are bad at spatial awareness so they are bad at math. How do we objectively validate the premise in the first place, without taking into account biases that can influence that very premise, like social, nutritional and political factors? Are math skills only influenced by spatial awareness or are there other factors that influence math skills?
So this argument is actually a subjective prejudice but worded in a way that seems to be scientifically valid. One consequence of the enlightenment is that we started to try all the time to disguise a subjective prejudice with an objective truth. After that we had eugenics, (pseudo-) scientific race theory and all kinds bad justifications, but the truth is that people want to exploit other people, and they think that coming up with moral and scientific explanations for this exploitation makes them sleep better after making numerous atrocities during the day.
Meaning that I just need to chill and feed from particles from the water instead of having to slave myself off for wage so a billionaire could dream of going Mars while trying to destroy the very planet we currently live. Don’t know what to think, but in Spike’s place I’d think that we actually need to do is a revolution!
This “two sides” talk is just Western bullshit, so Western libs can signal some kind of virtue. We are in the times of Western imperialism and colonialism, and maybe we are seeing a distant light in the tunnel as the world seems to be finally getting out this damned era. The whole world has been shaped by Western colonialism, then two world wars, then liberation struggles against Western powers, followed by financial domination of Western institutions (globalism and neoliberalism). So every little shit any country has done in this context is a reaction to the fuckton of shit result of Western hegemony in the last 300 years.
Let’s not forget that even today any terrorist organization, any drug lord, any weapons dealer, any far right group, any right wing paramilitary group, any right wing corrupt politician in every country, any NGO that supposedly protects “democracy” or other bullshit, has Western putrid tentacles around it. Ever since they weren’t able to maintain active military presence in the Global South, they instead started resorting to disinformation, destabilization and sabotage.
So, no, there’s no two sides are bad. Until Western hegemony is completely over, there’s no bad side other than the West.
It’s hard to consider it a A tier sport when USians simply suck in it. It’s an A-tier sport elsewhere, though, and the greatest sport in most of the world.
