Much appreciated stranger. Hopefully now I can stop exposing the two most attacked ports in existence from my LAN XD.

Boo, no idea why acme forces these specific ports. Swapping them seems like a pretty basic obfuscation technique that could help a lot to secure any services.
Edit: actually seems like this might be possible with the dns challenge type. I’m gonna test this out later https://github.com/caddy-dns/porkbun

How do u use a port other than 443 for https. AFAICT all web browsers are pinned to it (for ssl checks I think) and I could never get an actual https connection through an alt port. Maybe I didn’t understand it properly.
Edit: I think actually it’s the auto cert provisioning workflow. The CA I’m signing against hardcodes port 443 :/
Edit, edit: this was the issue https://caddy.community/t/non-standard-ports-for-https/6916/4
What was the point?

I’d say this was a solid 7/10 for me. Darkishly funny with a compelling underlying story. I found it a bit more on the nose than “I saw the TV glow” which I liked in a completely different way.

I mean, are phones conducive to learning? If not then forbid their usage at school and bloody enforce it. I think the fact phones became common place for kids so quickly and so early in their lives coupled with just the general insanity of American schools so often being under attack, the schools have just lost any agency to restrict them given their usage is already rampant.

Having students alert 911 in that situation is insane. Their priority should be either running away or hiding, neither of which is helped by getting on a phone call. If that’s the point hire someone whose job is 100% just doing that and make everyone safer for it.
Tbf there isn’t much in the voice activated smart speaker space. If I could just program some speech to text abstraction and link it to automations I would. None of the solutions really seem mature enough.
