I think the author of this article is a bit confused, and not describing the paper accurately. Because we are descended from homo erectus already.

AI does not have a foothold in my area, because it still takes far more time to understand what it did, and debug it. Faster to just do it ourselves.

However, there are some programming jobs where people can use what it makes without checking much, or understanding what it does. And while this probably has some cost to pay down the line, if it gets the job done today, then everyone wins.

I know some freelancers, and small shops, that make a lot of money untangling the code made by the above.

I would like to agree that most of the original contributions on Reddit today come from people who use old Reddit.

I think drone usage could solve some issues.

I think humans are not really more intelligent than most beings; we have a unique ability to manipulate physical things, but most animals are not crazy enough to follow and do that because our species pays a very high price for that in happiness.

It’s that sacrifice we all individually made to be like most other humans, as babies, that make us think our way is superior and look down on other animals.

I agree, there are a few sequels I liked on their own merits. But the majority of the ones are just as you said.

That said, I have a weakness for space ship drama. Can’t be too much of that. So some sequels really don’t need much of a plot, rhyme or reason. I’ll spend my money on them.

Rails just never hit the mainstream. That might be because it never had many powerful sponsors. There are some clever people and big companies that think it’s good to use. But I think the support is too scattered to attract an increase of use, so it languishes in the ecosystems.

And having hundreds of well maintained libraries will be the only way it can get popular now. And it cannot attract the new programmers in sufficient quantity to do that. And it cannot increase its sponsors until it has it.

So, it will remain a very cool thing most people won’t use

It seems technology has once again made it easy to create military stalemates regardless of the nations fighting.
