Yeah it’s not easy to get people to care, and even harder to get them to move from something they’re familiar with.
The main motivation for me was getting off WhatsApp, so anyone who refused to get Signal just has to deal with SMS now.


I ripped the bandaid off when Facebook bought WhatsApp. I told all my contacts and the ones I actually talked to were willing to install Signal, even my grandparents.


You can make an account without using your real details. Just stick to the browser and don’t use their app.


They all live in the US though. Not much any other country can do about them.
