0·1 month agoMy question is: While privacy seems to be increased with federated platforms, are they really that much more private? Do bots and web scrapers still track contents of various instances/servers?
I’m guessing the data can be tracked well enough even though less details about each user are required. Obviously with reddit you can limit only so much info about you with the account. Lemmy and/or other platforms, are they really better?? Sure, maybe not Meta owned, bought and sold for users’ data, but likely still data being harvested in some manner.
I gave up on RSS a long time ago because Outlook basically just linked a bunch of news articles, didn’t really good me anything to read without going externally.
Are you saying this would take those article details and organize into a usable proper website from multiple sources?

I’m very green when it comes to meshtastic. I do want to learn and set all this up.
Even more so I’d like to do about 5 of these for immediate family. Would be nice to have some sort of preconfigured bundle.
How is this not a violation of GDPR?! “Homeland Security” doesn’t need the data, this is thousands of people for under 5 possible threats at most… this is fucking stupid! The game of bribery and backdoor deals of monetizing data keeps spreading, huh?
