We call them Korean fighting spoons. Since it’s for reaching side dishes and sauces before others at the table

Mikie?
I trick my wife into feeling like she has 50% more weekend by tidying the house while she sleeps in, all going grocery shopping before it gets hot, then coming home and relaxing on Saturday. Then Sunday is free for anything. Usually by Sunday afternoon she wants to go do fun stuff this way

You Should Know@lemmy.world•YSK Drowning Doesn’t Look Like Drowning
57·1 month agoWhen I was a kid at some church event at a local kids camp I noticed a kid that jumped from the (very low) diving board wasn’t coming up. I had no idea what drowning actually liked like. I yelled to the lifeguard but jumped in anyway. The lifeguard saved the kid before I got over, but a chaperone noticed and sent a letter home to my parents saying they should be proud. I learned that day that cartoons aren’t so real

4·2 months agoTo be clear, my point is that you should just start doing stuff. It’s a journey. Don’t spend much on hardware or electricity

2·2 months agoI have a garbage dell wyze thin client with tiny11 and hyper-v running Homeassistant OS. I did this because the solar inverters and batteries have windows only software tools plus an android app in WSA. Also runs jellyfin with a few shows. I plan to migrate but can’t decide on what OS. I found out USB and serial passthrough will work, so I can use a Windows VM.
The networking is garbage because it’s actually got two wifi NICs, I haven’t pulled Ethernet. One dedicated to HAOS. Tailscale works great.
I never bothered to figure out where that came from
Take me to church by that hozer guy. Not even just the content, but also the way he sings
I understand both sides here. I’m a technician who worked as an engineer in the past. Working on getting my degree. The plant’s electrical engineer wanted nothing to do with our 24VDC power supply problems. Isn’t that her JOB. Us three technicians have probably 100 years of experience, combined. We figured it out

Most of the tweaks I’ve done for efficiency can be done on any distro.
