I get discouraged a lot of times seeing others just generate in some days what would have taken me months. But your point is what I keep in mind and it encourages me again. You can either stand still and externalize your brain to the cloud (trend) or actually develop it on your own (timeless).

Yeah we shouldn’t forget that they probably don’t care about stealing, they are criminals. In their head they probably justify it somehow. And even if there will ever be legal consequences, they probably pay a fine and move on. Even if their dataset were ever leaked and everything was exposed, we would not be surprised and say “told ya!” and they would look into the camera like ¯_(ツ)_/¯ (shrug) and a laughtrack starts playing

But what exactly is the skill here? Even if you do some mental gymnastics and count prompting as a skill, this is just going to get easier and easier, there is no skill. I have accepted that this is going to essentially replace programming as we know it. But I do not want to be part of that.
