The complaints I see about AI is usually because of “the theft” and “the consent”. Anarchist thought usually is against the copyright and the intellectual property. This seems to be lost in all discussions. The problems are with capitalism.
I guess anarchist don’t believe you can prevent someone from polluting an area since you can’t control what people do? I guess I don’t know how I feel living downstream from someone who is free to throw their sewage in the river…
If you would keep to the topic on copyright or intellectual property that would be great. In a movement that believes private, intellectual, property is theft then the extension to using that for the benefit of others is not a problem.
Well then I’m ok with that, although I live in Hollywood and know artist that rely on making their living via copyright and IP so I need to see how they would feel about it.
Anarchists are against monopolies, esp. in press; therefore copyrights and intellectual properties by extension. This doesn’t mean we approve of the monopolies in press, but that your state invented the hypocrisy to oppress.
We are against both, anti press ways, and corporate power, which the state ordains.

Copyright doesn’t compensate artists, fans do.
Copyright allows the state to enforce rents on whatever the state arbitrates rents need to be due upon.
It’s precisely the fact AI corporations have lobbied themselves off copyright infringement, that you’re seeing the exact reason copyright was dictated since its origin.
