Your northerly neighbor. I’ve been to a few US cities as well.

All the tropes I’ve seen are about a few American cities, usually not portrayed in other countries.

Back when I was living in downtown Calgary the honking was incessant, due to a handful of different protests (Palestinians really work the horn)

I can see for protests as that’s all you can really do is make noise, but DT Calgary is otherwise normally quiet. I live there myself.

its pretty common is highly dense cities, Chicago, NY and LA. I wouldn’t be surprised if Toronto has it in certain areas. But i can’t say for sure since ive never been and you northern neighbors are much more pleasant than a lot of US folks haha

I’ve been to Toronto numerous times and have never heard a single honk. Even when our hotel is directly next to the perpetually-clogged Highway 401. People are so used to traffic jams in Toronto that they know honking won’t make it move any faster.

What a crazy concept! I hear a beep like five or six days I have to drive somewhere in the city closest to me. It’s a fairly large city.

I hear a beep every zero evers around where I live. Maybe five or six times in the twenty years I’ve been here.

I can’t imagine hearing a car horn often like that! Maybe I’d get used to it?

“How often does the train go by?” - “So often you won’t even notice it.”
