The ones saying this don’t even know what they mean when they say this. They are parroting, but they can’t explain without stuttering. Surely they don’t mean my natural, unshaven legs! I’m sure they would recoil and say “men prefer a woman who shaves…” etc.
You know, I wear mailman-style shorts to work every day. They’re aggressively unsexy and I haven’t shaved my legs this decade.

The irony of them enforcing gender roles for both men and women with those types of statements. Shaming women for not conforming to certain beauty standards and subtly pressuring other men to conform to expecting those standards.
