        I guess I could kinda see it. This is such a dumb regime that it’s humiliating to be losing to it maybe? Whereas other presidents it was just more anger at the evil than humiliation? idk

          It’s easy to forget how spectacularly bad W was with everything going on, and he was certainly less personally deplorable than this fucker, but still. Don’t forget how bad he was.

            He was bad, but it was mostly policy. The stuff that was actually embarrassing was his inability to speak (not that bad) and the one big Iraq War lie, and the country nepotism.

            He didn’t smell like shit, he wasn’t dumb enough to serve our adversaries, and he didn’t make public statements like this crap. He didn’t need to be the smartest person in the room while also being dumb as hell.

      Even as a non-US resident I feel vicarious embarassment, although it’s been gradually replaced by incredulity and outrage.
