What’s up with people listening to what Trump says which either spook or calm the market, but no one ever pays attention to Iran, who has the bigger leverage and ultimately calls the shot, if there is ever any peace talks being initiated? Whenever Trump says there is peace talks or ceasefire, Iran quickly counters the claim and we’re back to zero all over again.

For people who even hates Trump, why even believe what he says? Why not consider if Iran even agreed to a ceasefire? Is it because the market too racist to listen to Iran, despite having more cards than the US and Trump in this conflict?

Trump can just decide they will stop bombing civilians.

Iran can’t just decide that the US will stop

For people who even hates Trump, why even believe what he says?

Because Trump in some cases has the direct power to make words into action. For example bombing Iran’s power plants - that happens if Trump tells his generals to make it happen (after purging the general staff, of course).

Iran has more cards because they have been bombing energy infrastructures across the Middle East and restricting the vessels that go through the strait. I would be more rejoicing if Iran agreed to stop the attacks for an actual ceasefire.

The issue is, this is a joint war involving Israel as well. As you may have noticed from the smoking pile of rubble that was Gaza City, Israel has a long history of “we’re just gonna violate that ceasefire real quick”.

They were attacked and Trump is talking about and actually bombing their infrastructure, making the other side’s infrastructure fair game. Iran has had a No First Strike policy meaning they committed to not fighting anyone unless attacked first and Iran had not invaded another country or started a war in over 200 years.

While you are correct, that doesn’t really answer why people listen more to Trump than Iran, even though Iran has the advantage on this conflict.

It’s because less people know Arabic Persian than English (in me area at least)

Edit: Persian not Arabic (which is much worse)
