yeah, that may make for a funny movie, but it really makes no sense in real life.
It does make for a funny joke on a meme community, though.
Also, as I stated, there is already precedence for this happening, both in the current Trump administration’s cover up of health problems, as well as in US history. Woodrow Wilson was incapacitated from a stroke, and the first lady, Edith Wilson, effectively acted as president for several years, in a cover up.
you think if trump were dead, vance would what - not accept the office because he does not have the charisma and rather let someone publish tweets to pretend tump is alive? lol.
Consider that Vance could be kept unaware of the death by Trump’s circle, as well, while they figure out how to handle it and continue forward. The performance tweet could be as much for Vance as it is for the public.
Again, there is direct historical precedence for this. Why did Woodrow Wilson’s vice president, Thomas Marshall, not step forward to take the presidency from him? The answer is that he was not popular with the rest of his party (like Vance), so was also kept in the dark about Wilson’s stroke and the fact that Edith Wilson was acting in Wilson’s place.
lol. if your life is orchestrated by upvotes and downvotes, then i feel truly sorry for you. and let me remind you trump won popular vote, so enjoy your vox populi.
I’m not really sure what you mean by life being orchestrated by upvotes and downvotes. The vote counts are simply evidence that hundreds of other people understood and enjoyed this joke.

That’s not really how a forum for discussion like Lemmy works.
