I mean they’ve been spending years and billions upon billions of dollars building a technology that they claim will “end the world” and “take everyone’s job” and “wipe out humanity” and all the other apocalyptic hype shit.

    Is anyone GENUINELY surprised???

All while simultaneously just being super annoying…

For all the risk people mostly get slop flooding their feeds for their trouble.

But at least it ruins local electric and water systems…

So far we have seen AI used to:

-layoff workers and close entry level jobs -falsely identify people in other states for crimes that they did not commit in a different state -score two letter grades below real students in MIT programs -operate armed facial recognition turrets autonomously -conduct autonomous airstrikes via drone with predetermined collateral damage limits -miss cancers and other radiology image anomolies while replacing doctors -automatically decide who lives and dies or gets needed medical approved. -destroy the environment with their enormous data centers -draw so much electricity from the grid (that they don’t have to pay for) that makes people’s electric bills more than their mortgage. -cause violent psychosis in people due to lack of AI regulations

The tech bros have to be reigned in and publicly punished because we have allowed their greedy, drug fueled, AI enabled mental illnesses determine too much of our future. They are ENEMIES of everyone’s freedom and the earth itself.

It was bound to happen when the big tech idiots don’t listen to the feedback from end users and people who’s jobs are on the line in an already hostile job market. When one does not entertain civil discourse, and try to force your bullshit on others…that creates friction, which can lead to hostility.

      Unions were the compromise.

The compromise from dragging rich exploiters from their beds in the middle of night and meeting out street mob justice.

Luigi is not an outlier. He’s just the first wave of what used to happen a hundred years ago when the oligarchs wouldn’t listen.

The establishment knew what it was doing when they initially wanted to give Luigi Mangione the death penalty. They wanted to make an example of him, in order to deter others from acting in a similar manner with other CEOs and politicians.

It would seem they forgot that things like the Arab Spring can happen anywhere, if people are maltreated enough.

The AI industry spent years warning the world that its technology was dangerous.

The war industry has been producing autonomous weapons for decades but nobody was ever warned about it. The government and corporations are doing propaganda to scare the public about AI to justify authoritarian laws that grand them a monopoly on the industry and limit the public use of this technology.
